Value of Scholarship
Healthcare in Morocco is of a high standard. Most major cities have hospitals and clinics that can provide the most advanced medical care to you. In most cases, our scholarship covers the costs of your treatment through Wafa Insurance. However, in some extreme cases, such as hospitalization or ambulance rides, you may be required to pay out-of-pocket and then claim back. Students are advised to review their insurance policies before seeking medical care at any clinic or research centre in Morocco.
The stipend
All scholarship recipients are awarded a base stipend of 2500 DH (Approx. 250 USD) every TWO months. US$125 per month (subject to possible levies/university accommodation fees)
A supplement of 1750 DH (Approx. 175 USD) every TWO months is provided only to students who reside outside of the Cite Universitaire Internationale or any of the public housing accommodations.
For Member States who provide a supplementary stipend, information can be obtained via the relevant Ministry Authorities responsible for the scholarship application.
Accommodations
Accommodation is not guaranteed at student campuses; however, certain provisions exist to aid students throughout the duration of their programme.
Students residing in Rabat are granted a maximum of Three (3) years of residence at Cite Universitaire Internationale, the international student housing facility. After this period, students will be required to source alternative accommodation.
Numerous public student housing facilities also exist within the various cities, according to availability, where AMCI would grant the authorization for students to reside at little or no cost.
For students who do not reside at the above-mentioned housing facilities, AMCI provides a supplement of 1750 DH (Approx. 175 USD) every TWO months to assist with the cost of the alternative accommodation options. These options include other private student housing campuses or rental properties.
