Health Care in Morocco
Hospitals/Clinics can be found in almost all cities around Morocco. Doctors fluently speak French; Insurance coverage is included in the scholarship package under Wafa Insurance. When seeking medical care, students must bring with them an insurance form from the insurance agency for their doctor and pharmacist to fill in the necessary information. In most instances, the cost of the treatment must be paid upfront and then claim for a refund. Students are advised to review the terms of coverage under the insurance programme.
Students are advised to carry along any specific prescription medication or over-the-counter drugs when preparing for arrival. This is to serve in the interim while seeking alternative prescriptions in Morocco according to the brands and medication available.
