OECS Regional Education Digest 2020 - 2021

• School Participation & Governance: Primary and secondary enrolment is declining, while early childhood education participation is increasing. Some schools lack structured governance and disaster management plans.
• Impact of COVID-19: The pandemic disrupted learning, emphasizing the need for improved data collection and policy adjustments in education.
• Finance in Education: OECS member states allocate 7-19% of their national budgets to education, with per-student costs ranging from XCD 3,000 to 13,000.
